 The Big Ride to Vashon Island

         
     Sunday morning getting ready for the big ride.              Checking out all the scoots.
     
                                      Hanging out, eating donuts, talking scooters.
            
              This was a Texas scooter.         A mermaid cowgirl.  Annie get your guns.
                       
                      Nice Lambretta.        Here's one of the "Royal Bastards" from San Francisco.
                                                     Check out the longhorns on the front fender.


             
       What a nice 1960 Heinkel Tourist cruising around Alki beach.  You don't see these often.   

                      
            Staging line for the ferry to Vashon Island.       Scooters as far as the eye can see.
      
     Checking out more scooters while waiting.     Look, there are those "Vespa Vixens" again.
              
         This scooter drove from Alberta, Canada.                  Patiently waiting.
            
Classics.

           
                          Relaxing.                           In line 6 across.  Around 350 scooters.
            
                Going over to the Island.  Just one side of the Ferry.  We took up both sides.
                
           The end of the ride.  Parking for the BBQ.         Benjamin parking his "Woody" Vespa.
                                                                          It's custom painted like a "woody wagon".


End of the day.  Coming home on the ferry.
